Ordinary Life – Amazing God
My name is Janet. I am a wife, mother, and Mimi. I have been married for 41 years, to the boy I had a crush on in 6th grade. We have two grown children with spouses who feel like my own. We have one granddaughter, Isabella, and one grandson, Milo. This is a fun season of life, full of bubbles, tickles, and giggles.
Our secret to a long marriage is God at the center and never use the word divorce. Our secret to great adult kids, start them in church young and keep them in youth group. Our secret to grandkids, there is no secret SPOIL them.
I was saved at the age of 14, but God really became real to me in my 40s when I started to understand and comprehend God’s grace. That no matter what I had done, and no matter what my perfectionist, people-pleasing self did, God was not going to love me any more or any less than He already did. A life-changing concept that I still grow in each day.
I work at a family-owned trucking company with my parents, my son, my two sisters, my brother-in-law, and nieces and a nephew. Which can be amazing some days, and amazingly trying on other days. All joking aside, I know how lucky I am to be blessed to work with all of them.
My husband is the Assimilation Pastor at Redemption Church. Full-time Pastors wife is a new role for me, but it aligns with one of my passions, helping women find healing in Christ.
Why did I start this blog? I love words, I love reading them, and I love writing them. Writing has always been a way to formulate my thoughts. When I talk my brain goes faster than my mouth, writing makes me slow down and organize my thoughts before they turn into words. For a long time, I wrote for the praise and attention of others. Now, I am WORKING on writing just for the love of it. So, I hope you will choose to follow me on this journey. You may follow by email, just click follow on the home page.
